Our Story
We started MellowPaw for pets like Jinx & Romeo.
Two animals really run this place. Jinx, our tabby, is nearly impossible to please — he keeps to himself and only truly settles when there's something to chew or lick. Romeo, our Brittany, is the opposite kind of handful: an anxious dog who comes alive the second you give him a job to do.
Living with both taught us the one idea this whole store is built on — a calmer pet isn't a pet with more toys. It's a pet with the right outlet: licking, sniffing, chewing, foraging. We don't sell toys. We sell calm routines.

Why MellowPaw exists
The moment it clicked was ordinary: we realized we weren't the only ones. Every pet parent we talked to was fighting the same quiet battles — the dog who can't settle when the door closes, the cat who only relaxes with something to work at. We want the best for Jinx and Romeo, and it turns out everyone wants exactly that for their own. MellowPaw is what we wish we'd had from day one: enrichment chosen by people who actually live it.
Our one rule
Does it give a restless pet a job?
Every product has to answer that single question. Chews for busy mouths. Snuffle toys for busy noses. Lick mats for anxious energy. A soft, bolstered bed for the wind-down after. If it's only cute, it doesn't make the cut — and plenty doesn't.
The honest part
We're straight about the science. Licking and chewing release naturally calming endorphins — that's real. But nothing we sell fixes genetics (about 1 in 3 cats don't respond to catnip, which is exactly why our chews use silvervine too), and nothing here replaces a vet when something is genuinely wrong. A note on shipping — the honest version
We carry a mix. Some of our favorites ship from US warehouses and arrive in about 3–6 business days; others come from carefully chosen overseas makers and take a little longer. We're steadily moving our best-sellers into US stock so more of the store arrives fast — and we always show the exact delivery window on the product page before you buy. Shipping is free on orders over $30.
